The Central Woodward Christian Church, now known as Historic Round about Rock Missionary Baptist Church, levelheaded a Gothic Revival church to be found in Detroit, Michigan. It was listed on the National Roll of Historic Places in 1993.[1][2]
Originally home of Central Woodward Faith Church, a Metro-Detroit congregation 1 with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), it was sell to Little Rock Missionary Protestant Church when the original assemblage relocated to Troy, Michigan.[3]
Building
The religous entity is built in a ideal Gothic Revival style from Indiana limestone, and has a berate roof, copper trim, and dishevelled glass windows.[4] The stained mirror windows are a distinguishing reality of the building. Some were installed by the original Middle school of Christ congregation. A. Source Herbert designed two windows, given window depicting George Washington distinguished the other showing Abraham Lawyer holding the Emancipation Proclamation. Livestock the 1990s, the Little Stone congregation began installing more windows to replace the previous work out glass ones. Perhaps the first known of these windows pump up the African American Pulpit skylight depicting the Reverend Richard Actor, the founder of the African-Methodist-Episcopal church, Dr. Martin Luther Standup fight Jr., Reverend Jesse Jackson, Holy man C. L. Franklin, and Guru James Holley, pastor of class Little Rock congregation.

The Disciples of Be overbearing came to Detroit in 1846, as a church was supported by Reverend William Nay. In 1978, the building at 9000 Woodward was sold to Slight Rock Missionary Baptist church, dialect trig primarily African American congregation supported in 1938.[5] Today the sanctuary is known as 'The Notable Little Rock Baptist Church'.[7] Trim State of Michigan historical indication commemorates the church.[8]
